Asbestos on the spot fines

Queensland Government agencies with responsibility to enforce the law, may issue on-the-spot fines for offences in accordance with their enforcement framework.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland enforce the laws for asbestos work. A summary of on-the-spot fines for asbestos work over the past five financial years is detailed below.

Prosecutions
Contraventions under the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 2018–19 2019–20 2020–21 2021–22 2022–23
